If you are struggling to connect your Tablo to your home network via Wi-Fi there could be several reasons.
Security
Tablo supports WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) and WPA2 authentication for Wi-Fi. If your router is using an older, less secure authentication method for security (such as WEP - Wired Equivalent Privacy), you will need to switch to WPA/WPA2.
Tablo also requires that your router be secured with a password.
Ethernet Connection Is Already Enabled
Make sure nothing is attached to the Tablo’s Ethernet port. If Ethernet is available, the Wi-Fi module on the Tablo device will not engage. If you want to switch your Tablo's connection to the internet from Ethernet to Wi-Fi, first remove the Ethernet cable from the Tablo and then reboot it.
- To reboot your legacy network-connected Tablo, press and quickly release the blue reset button on the back right of the box.
- To reboot your 4th Generation Tablo, press and quickly release the reset button on the bottom of the box.
The Tablo will then boot into Wi-Fi setup mode. Instructions for this process can be found here.
