This is a legacy article for our TV-connected Tablo DVRs. The 4th Generation Tablo is currently our most advanced offering. Line.png

As Tablo DUAL HDMI and Tablo QUAD HDMI DVRs display and deliver video in its original MPEG2 broadcast format, there are no video quality settings.

Depending on the broadcast channel and program, video quality will be delivered at 1080p at 30 fps, 720p at 30 fps, 720p at 60 fps or 480p at 30 fps.

However, Tablo DUAL HDMI and Tablo QUAD HDMI do offer screen resolution settings.

By default, the Tablo DUAL HDMI and Tablo QUAD HDMI will automatically switch to the best resolution for your television.

However, if you encounter issues with the video coming in from the Tablo via HDMI you can select a specific display mode to use.

Selecting a different resolution than the one that is selected will cause the Tablo to switch to that resolution and will display a message asking if you want to keep the new resolution. If you do not accept the new resolution with in 20 seconds, the Tablo will automatically revert to the previous resolution.
