This is a legacy article. To find out how to install the 4th Generation Roku app, go here.
NOTE - Legacy Tablo apps are no longer available for download. Many of the underlying technologies used by legacy Tablo apps and services are becoming obsolete and are no longer maintainable. Support was discontinued for all legacy Tablo apps on September 1st, 2026.
Unlike other major app stores, Roku does not permit apps to be delisted while remaining active for existing users. As such, the Roku app will continue to be available for download but won't be maintained or updated.
The web app (my.tablotv.com) will also continue to be available but will also not be maintained or updated.
If you have a network-connected legacy Tablo model and have not completed the Legacy Transition steps, we urge you to do so and begin using the newer 4th Generation Tablo apps. These apps are built on modern technology, are easier to maintain and will receive ongoing updates.
In order to get your Roku device communicating with your legacy Tablo device, you will need to download the Tablo app. Once installed, simply launch the Tablo app to begin watching TV, setting recordings, etc.
The first step is to ensure you are on your Roku's Home Screen. You can do this by tapping the Home button on your Roku remote. From here, select the Search option on the main menu.
Using your remote, navigate the on-screen keyboard and type in the word 'Tablo'. As you type, you will see results generated on the right side of the screen. Once finished, you should see Tablo TV listed - it will have the Channel icon next to it.
Highlight the Tablo TV channel, press OK on your remote, then select the Add Channel option. Once the installation has finished, you will receive an on-screen notification letting you know the channel was added successfully. You can now launch the Tablo app from your home screen.
