Tablo obtains its time zone information from the device you use to run a channel scan during setup. If the time zone is set correctly during the channel scan, daylight savings and other time changes should be automatic and require no intervention.
If you've recently experienced a time change and your Tablo does not appear to have updated its time setting, you can take the following steps to correct this:
- Connect to the Tablo app (we recommend using the Tablo web app at http://my.tablotv.com/)
- Navigate to: Settings > Edit location > Use Current > Begin Channel Scan > Add to guide. This will reset your Tablo's local time zone to match the one being used on the device running the channel scan. This will ensure that all of your shows are recorded at the correct time.
Note: if you are using an active VPN, or if the date and time settings on your device are incorrect, the Tablo will not obtain the proper time zone and your recordings can occur at the incorrect time.
