What’s Included in Tablo’s Smart Scheduling Features?

The following Smart Scheduling features are both enabled by default on your Tablo device but can be turned off in SETTINGS.

Don't Record Duplicates

  • Prevents Tablo from recording duplicates.
  • Will record HD in favor of SD if both formats are available.
  • If two episodes are available, it will pick the broadcast with the highest signal strength.

 

Auto Extend Live Recordings

  • Automatically extends recording time for airings marked as 'live' (including sports and specials).
  • When enabled, 4th Generation Tablo will add 30 minutes to live recordings and season/series finales. If you need to add more than 30 minutes to any recording schedule, you can do so using the advanced recording options.
  • When enabled, legacy Tablo will add 50% of the total scheduled time, up to a maximum of 2 hours.
