The Library screen within the Tablo app provides access to completed and in-progress recordings, DVR schedules and options, conflicts and recording failures.
To access it, select the book icon in the left-hand menu. It’s the second one from the top, right under search.
As you look through the Library, you’ll notice blue bars under some recordings indicating how much of the program you’ve already watched.
In the lower left-hand corner, you’ll find a handy indicator of the remaining recording space on your hard drive.
To see specifics about your onboard or expanded Tablo storage, go to SETTINGS -> STORAGE.

Latest
The Latest section of the Library displays newly completed recordings from the past 14 days, grouped by date. Latest also includes recordings that are currently in progress, marked by an orange Rec badge.

On the options screen, you can:
- Watch Episode: Starts playback from the beginning.
- Protect Episode: This protects this recording from being removed by auto-delete. If it’s already protected, you’ll have the option to unprotect it.
- Delete Episode: Removes the recording from your Library and clears up space. This option is grayed out if the episode is protected.
- Go To Series/Episode Information: Brings up details about the series you’re watching.
If the recording you selected is still in progress, you’ll see a Stop Recording Episode option. If you stop the recording, or when the recording completes, the delete option will return.
If you’ve selected an episode you’ve already started watching, you’ll see the option to Resume Episode. You’ll also get the new option to Watch from Beginning.
Coming Soon
Coming Soon shows programs with airings scheduled to record over the next 14 days, organized by date.
As with Latest, in-progress recordings will also show up here. Selecting them will give you the same choices.
If you select a scheduled recording that’s not in progress, you’ll see the following options:
- Don’t Record Episode: Select this to unschedule the recording of a specific episode.
- Watch Channel Live Now: Select this to watch whatever’s live on the channel that’s scheduled for recording.
- Add Channel to Favorites: Add the channel to your Favorites. If it’s already a favorite, you’ll have the option to remove it instead.
- Series Information: This will show the series information related to the episode, as well as Advanced Recording and Manage Episodes options.
- Episode Recording Options: Allows you to tweak the Start and Stop times of this specific recording.
- Edit Series Recording: If the episode is part of a series, this option will allow you to record All or New episodes, or choose No to remove the recording schedule from this series. (Unscheduling a series will not remove previously completed recordings from the series.)
All Recordings
All Recordings displays all programs, including movies and one-off specials with completed and upcoming recordings or recording schedules by title in alphabetical order.
Each listing will indicate:
- The total number of completed recordings.
- The number of upcoming scheduled recordings.
- The number of new unwatched recordings.
- And how many recordings have failed for that title.
If a series is no longer airing and you delete all its recordings, but a series scheduling rule is still in effect, you will see a Library entry noting 0 upcoming and 0 recorded episodes. To remove it from your Library, select SERIES RECORDING SCHEDULED> CANCEL SERIES RECORDING.
Selecting a specific focused series will bring up the following options:
In the top menu, you’ll find:
- Series Recording Scheduling: Here you’ll be given options to Record All, Record New or Cancel Series Recording.
- Recording Options: This will bring up the Advanced Recording Options for your series.
- Manage Episodes: Quickly delete recorded episodes within a series by choosing Delete Watched Episodes, Delete Unprotected Episodes, Delete Failed Episodes or Delete All Episodes.
In the left-side menu, you’ll find the following filters:
- Recordings: Lists all the completed and saved recordings in the series. From here, you can watch a focused episode by selecting Play or select OK/Enter to bring up episode details. If this is a stand-alone special or a movie, this will be the only item under Recordings. This view can be sorted by Recently Recorded or All Seasons.
- Scheduled: Shows all the episodes within the series scheduled to be recorded in the next 14 days.
- Upcoming Airings: Shows all the airings of that series in the next two weeks, regardless of their scheduled status. For instance, if you’ve set a series to record only new recordings, Upcoming Airings would also show repeats airing in the next 14 days that aren’t set to be recorded. These can be sorted By Date or Season.
- Conflicts: This flags any scheduled episodes in the series that conflict with other recordings so they can be resolved.

Failures: If any episodes failed to record, they’ll be flagged here with the reason for the failure. You can remove this notification by selecting the minus icon.
TV Shows, Movies and Sports
TV Shows, Movies and Sports are filtered views of All Recordings.
Conflicts
Conflicts outlines any recording schedule conflicts. Select an airing to unschedule and resolve the conflict.
Failures
Failures will show series with airings that failed to record. The failure reason for each airing is shown below.
To clear recording failure notifications, select an airing and then select DELETE THIS FAILURE or DELETE ALL FAILED.
