The Tablo Status page at tablotv.com/status is an important tool for 4th Generation Tablo device owners.

It provides a quick overview of the current state of key Tablo server infrastructure and your own Tablo device(s), making it easier to identify issues and determine appropriate troubleshooting steps.

About the Tablo Server Status Section

The server section of tablotv.com/status is divided into three sections, monitoring different portions of the overall server infrastructure enabling Tablo devices:

  • Tablo Critical Server Infrastructure
Powers device discovery, user registration, login and other vital Tablo functions.
  • Tablo Content Infrastructure
Powers TV guide data, content discovery, user-level settings and other supporting Tablo functions.
  • Tablo Authentication Infrastructure
Powers account setup, device connectivity, firmware updates and other Tablo administration functions.

Their statuses will be reported as:

  • Operational – Everything is working smoothly.
  • Degraded Performance – The infrastructure is online, but it may respond more slowly or experience intermittent errors.
  • Outage Detected – The servers are offline or down for maintenance.

Server status will be reported even if your Tablo is offline or you are not connected to your Tablo’s home network.

It will update automatically every five minutes when the web page is active.

In advance of planned maintenance or during outages, a supplemental notification section will be enabled to provide additional details and resolution updates.

During server outages, you may still be able to watch live TV from your antenna and completed recordings thanks to the Offline Mode feature in 4th Generation Tablo apps.

Depending on the specific type of server instability, other functions like account or device setup may be impacted. In that case, you can monitor the Tablo Status page for resolution updates before trying again.

About the Tablo Device Status Section

When you access tablotv.com/status from a device connected to the same home network as your 4th Generation Tablo, basic details will be displayed.

NOTE - If you're accessing the site from a device with a VPN enabled, it must be disabled for your Tablo's information to be displayed properly.

When you select the + sign, additional details are shown.

This includes:

  • Your Tablo’s Name
If you haven’t given your Tablo its own name in SETTINGS, it will be displayed as Tablo.

  • Last Check In
Your Tablo device will attempt to connect with Tablo servers every 4 hours. Its last reported check-in time will be displayed. If it has been more than 4 hours since your Tablo last connected with our servers, the status dot will change from green to yellow or red depending on how long ago your device was last seen online.

  • Serial Number
Tablo Support may request your device's serial number (or MAC address) during troubleshooting. This number is also displayed within Tablo apps and as a sticker on the bottom of your Tablo device. For 4th Generation Tablo devices, the unit's MAC address is also the serial number.

  • Tablo Model
This will tell you the type of Tablo device you own and the number of tuners it has.

  • Registration Status
If you’ve correctly completed initial setup of your Tablo device, its status should show as registered. If not, your Tablo device’s registration status will show as incomplete and troubleshooting steps will be provided.

  • Tablo IP Address
This is the last known IP address for your Tablo device.

If you have more than one 4th Generation Tablo device on your home network, each will have its own status section.

If you have a legacy Tablo that's completed the Legacy Transition, it will show up as well.

Troubleshooting Device Statuses

If you see a Tablo device status of:

  • Yellow or Red Last Check-In Time – If your Tablo has not checked in with our servers within the last 4 hours and has a yellow or red status dot, try these connectivity troubleshooting steps to get it back online.

  • No Tablo Devices Are Found
If you have a 4th Gen Tablo device and its information is not displayed, it may require connectivity troubleshooting, or the device you’re using to access tablotv.com/status is not on the same home network.

Legacy devices with firmware older than 2.2.58 will not show up on the status page.

  • Unknown Tablo Devices Are Found
If a Tablo device is found on the network but has not been registered, download the Tablo app to complete setup.

Legacy devices with Firmware 2.2.58 or newer, that have not completed the Legacy Transition, will also show up as unknown devices. Once you have completed the Legacy Transition Steps, full details for legacy devices will be available

  • Tablo Setup Is Not Complete
If you have not completed all the required steps of first-time setup, including running and saving a channel scan, return to the Tablo app to finish setup.
