Recent security-related changes with the Chrome browser (version 117+) require users to type out the full URL of sites they wish to visit that do not support SSL connections.
With this Chrome update, all hyperlinks and bookmarks for websites beginning with HTTP are automatically redirected to HTTPS.
For this reason, owners of Tablo legacy devices may have difficulty attempting to reach the Tablo web app at http://my.tablotv.com.
How To Access The Web App Via Chrome
If you are using the Chrome browser, simply type or cut and paste the following URL into your browser's address bar:
This will tell Chrome that you are aware that Tablo's web app does not have and does not require a secure connection (as security is handled by your home router) and will allow you to connect.
At this point, you can update your bookmark and you should not have to type the URL in again the next time you connect to the web app.
Still Having Trouble?
If you're still having trouble connecting to the web app at http://my.tablotv.com/ try the following troubleshooting steps:
- Remove any existing bookmarks for the Tablo web app and clear your Chrome’s browser cache (instructions here: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop)
- Copy and paste this URL directly into your Chrome browser: http://my.tablotv.com/
- Bookmark the page, and use this bookmark to access the Tablo web app going forward
- If you encounter continuous loading/a blank white page while using the Tablo web app, repeat the steps above.
Other Supported Browsers
At this time, Safari, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge do not require this extra step. Tablo legacy device owners can continue to access the web app through those browsers as they do today.
