In general, those in major urban centers in the United States can expect to receive several free over-the-air (OTA) channels including most major networks with a TV antenna.
Most areas will be able to get ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, PBS, and CW networks.

The quality of your OTA reception is based on proximity to OTA broadcast towers, the type of antenna you’re using and its location (indoor, outdoor, height off the ground, direction).
If you’re receiving fewer channels than you think you should be, try adjusting the location or direction of your antenna.
