Of the legacy models, only a limited supply of refurbished Tablo DUAL LITE Over-the-Air [OTA] DVRs remains for sale.

There are a couple of different ways you can tell which Tablo unit you have:

Using the Serial Number

You can identify which Tablo you have by the first three letters of the serial number. The serial number can be located on the very bottom of your Tablo unit, as well as the box the Tablo came in.

If the first three letters begin with:

GI-C     This is a DUAL LITE or DUAL 128GB unit.
GI-Q     This is a QUAD or QUAD 1TB unit.
HD-A     This is a DUAL HDMI unit.
HQ-A     This is a QUAD HDMI unit.
LD-B     This is a 2-Tuner, 4-Tuner or DUAL 64GB unit

4th Generation Tablo models do not have serial numbers with letter prefixes. They only have MAC addresses.

Using the Ports on the Back of the Unit

The ports on the back of your Tablo will help determine if you have a 4th Generation Tablo, a TV-connected Tablo, or a network-connected Tablo. It can also help you identify if your network-connected Tablo is a DUAL or QUAD.

4th Generation Tablo

The 4th generation Tablo is like legacy network-connected units and will only have ports for the antenna, USB, Ethernet and the power supply. The order of the ports is reversed from legacy model Tablo devices and the Ethernet port does not have LEDs.
